Small Group Programs

Long before a child can speak in simple words, phrases, and sentences, a child is forming an extensive vocabulary of words he or she understands.  Using concrete objects, mirror work, nursery rhymes, and big books, children experience a comprehensive language program.  Children are encouraged to speak with confidence to string single words into phrases and basic sentences.  Through facilitated language stimulation, children will imitate and practice new and familiar words, attempt to communicate by mixing jargon with words to ultimately express thoughts, needs, and desires.

Children experience more creative and quality speech and language classes.  Emphasis shifts to expanding knowledge and recognition of naming common objects, household items, colors, shapes, and creative storytelling.  Children will learn to use words to relate observations, concept, ideas, and relationships.  Encouraging social language use, children have success in building friendships!  Communication skills never became so easy to learn.

Children will experience the initial and essential phonic skills needed to become proficient readers.  Through multi-sensory sound and awareness activities, children will be able to develop and strengthen word attack and decoding skills.  Children will be engaged through various methods to learn to love the gift of reading!

Through innovative, tactile, and kinesthetic strategies children will learn to use motor movements to form primary symbols and letters.  Our program will facilitate the development of hand skills needed to ultimately improve a child's ability to write effectively.
